We are very pleased to announce that Wattle & Daub will be hosting a Sunday Sketch Club run by Gina McAdam, a Printmaker and Artist living in Godalming.
Our Sketch club will be an informal supportive meet-up, suitable for all levels wishing to explore their own visual journey with a sketch book. Some ideas for exploration will include; how to use your sketch book, observational drawing, keeping a visual journal, Still life drawing, watercolours by the river and personal projects exploring new materials. We will take feedback as to how individuals would like this sketch club to develop, plus we hope to invite fellow Artists to talk about what they do. Many other possibilities include poetry, readings and skill sharing.
We will aim to meet on a weekly basis on a Sunday at 10-11:30am here at Wattle & Daub based in Church Street, Godalming (subject to availability of workshop space and tutor). Bookings and payment will be taken one week in advance the sketch club. The cost will be £10 per session. Our aim is to keep these sessions at a reasonable price, as our focus is to encourage like-minded local creatives to meet up in a friendly and supportive space. All classes will be kept small (maximum 10), to ensure adequate space and support is available. Material lists will be distributed in advance and all participants will be invited to join a optional WhatsApp group which will be used to share inspiring ideas and links.
Gina McAdam who will run these workshops is a Printmaker who trained at Edinburgh College of Art and then at the RCA. Gina is a working artist who also teaches at Watts Gallery, Compton and Surrey Adult Learning College in Guildford and Farnham.
