Join Aimee Richards @missbespokepapercuts and seller via notonthehighstreet in our cosy Tudor Lounge at Wattle & Daub for a beginners paper cutting workshop. The session begins with an introduction to the mindful art of paper cutting as Aimee teaches you to paper cut the different techniques on a beginners sheet so that you feel comfortable with a scalpel.
After a tea and cake break you will spend the rest of the session cutting a template of your choice, which Aimee will send to you to select upon email confirmation.
All equipment and refreshments -tea/coffee/drink and cake- are provided for the duration of the session so you don't need to bring anything but yourself -and a pair of glasses if you need them!
You don't need to have any drawing skills to attend this workshop, so you can just relax into learning a new craft.
Should you wish to buy a kit to take home with you for an additional £12, just select 'Workshop and Kit' at the checkout. Each kit will contain a cutting mat, scalpel, five blades, full beginners instructions, three projects and backing papers. I will also have these available to purchase at the workshop afterwards should paper cutting be the craft for you!
I am hopeful that this introduction will then give you the confidence to go home with your basic materials and to keep having a go, but to carry on the momentum you will also be granted access to the exclusive 'Beginners Papercutters' FB group which shares tips and inspiration from 150 + other people who have attended one of courses in Portsmouth and Godalming.
The cost of the workshop is £35. To book click here
